Rexx scripts for processing Wssindex listings
Rexx is a batch language include in OS/2, IBM PC DOS 7, and several other
environments.
A freeware MS-DOS version called BREXX is available.
Rexx has text mainipulation capabilities lacking in DOS batch language. I
have written a sample script, with OS/2 Rexx and
BREXX versions, which reads a Wssindex listing which was printed to disk,
prompts the user to insert disks, and copies files to a directory specified
on the command line. One user has requested this capability, but the scripts
mainly serve as examples for developing scripts for other tasks.
These scripts should work with the output from any version of Wssindex.
The new tagging options in Wssindex 6 may make selection of files to be
listed easier.
