Registered Wssindex files DOS version (and betas)
Registered Wssindex files Extended version (and betas)
If you have a registered version of Wssindex, the username/password
combination in the letter confirming your registration can be used to
gain access to registered files here. The registration letter should
have included instructions for setting environment variables to turn
off the opening screen in the shareware version. The DOS commands to
do this would look something like:
SET WSSUSER=YourInitialAndName
SET WSSPASS=LongNumber
When you select one of the links below, your browser should prompt you for
a user name and password. The user name is YourInitialAndName
(Case is significant), the password
is LongNumber, as specified in your registration letter.
If you cannot access these links, it may mean:
- You registered before I started including password information in
the registration letter. Send me
email
and I will provide the necessary info. Please make sure that your browser
is configured to include your email return address so that I can send a reply.
- You registered before the algorithm for generating usernames was
standardized and the username I have entered into the password database is
different from the one in your registration letter. Send
email
and I will provide updated info.
- You registered the DOS version, but are attempting to access the extended
version. Upgrade fee is only $10 plus shipping.
- You mistyped the password. Your browser may require you to exit and
restart before it will give you a chance to retype the password info.
