Welcome to new TASLers Andrew Birch, Tim Factor.
Here are selected comments from participants:
From Linda Pivacek, Nahant:
Note that I added Yellow-breasted Chat and White-winged Crossbills to the bottom [of the list].
From Andrew Birch, Deer Island:
After finishing up the Deer Island section of today's TASL count (Matt
- trust me it was cold and NOT balmy : ) a birder alerted us to a Snowy Owl on the beach just north of the Deer Island parking lot. I wish I had a HUGE lens - it was sitting right next to a Budweiser can and would have made quite a shot. It was there when we left at 11:15AM.
Nothing unusual to report on the water - did have a quick look at a possible alcid, but lost it prior to confirmation - it was very distant in very windy conditions.
From Fay Vale, Winthrop Harbor:
...we were done by 10 - there was so little there!
From Kathy Foley, Neponset-South Boston:
It was bloody freezing and windy out there-I am sure you noticed. We did not waste any time. Michael thinks the birds were hiding.
