SPAM Filter Setup Procedures

Outlook Express 4.0 - Inbox Assistant

Outlook Express 4.0 allows you to control the destination of incoming email based on several different user defined criteria which are implemented as rules in the "Inbox Assistant" utility. One of these rules takes all  messages with a certain word or words in the subject line and sends them to a specified folder. You can use this filter to take all messages with [SPAM?] in the subject line and send them to a SPAM folder that you create. This will help keep your Inbox less cluttered with unwanted email.
You can check your SPAM folder once a day or so to quickly see if there are any emails of interest to you. Then you can clean out this folder by deleting all the emails.
