Flower and Vibrational Essences

Flower essences are derived from living flowers. They have no scent and are not to be confused with "aromatherapy" or "essential oils." Flower essences contain the life-force energy released from flowers in the peak of their bloom. Using methods pioneered by Dr. Edward Bach in England during the 1930's, flowers release their energy (vibrational pattern) into water. This "mother tincture" is usually preserved with brandy, to prevent bacterial growth, and diluted to a "stock" level. Each flower carries a unique energetic pattern, and this essence is contained within each drop of the prepared remedy, like a holographic imprint.

A "flower remedy" is  taken to benefit spiritual, mental, emotional and physical bodies. A few drops are placed under the tongue, or into a glass of water to be sipped at regular intervals. These remedies can prompt greater levels of balance and well-being in the user, bringing the natural dynamic energy of the plant into the human bioelectric system. Working on subtle levels, they direct movement to enhance health.  A practitioner interviews her client, uses a combination of logic, intution, familiarity with the essences, kinesiological testing or a pendulum, and spiritual guidance to assist in selecting appropriate essences.

There is more than one "correct" way to take an essence. It is not necessary to put the drops under the tongue. They can be placed on top of the tongue. You don't even have to take an essence internally -- you can put a couple of drops on "pulse points," "chakra points," or "acupuncture points." You can even make a spray by mixing an essence in water and putting it in a mister bottle so that you can spray yourself, your room, or your environment. Misting is a great way to give essences to children. Generally speaking, essences are more effective taken internally, but some people are so sensitive that merely carrying an essence bottle on their person produces benefits. Some people are also very sensitive to alcohol and don't want to ingest the brandy that is used to preserve most essences. These people can either use the essence externally, or they can put the drops of the essence into hot tea, hot water or other hot beverage. The heat will cause the alcohol to evaporate in just a few minutes.

The term "vibrational essence" includes flower essences, gem elixirs, environmental essences, and other more esoteric essences. Vibrational essences are all infusions of energy patterns into water. A chemical analysis (using today's technology) would not reveal any chemicals in the water except for the brandy or other preservative added to the essence to prevent bacterial growth.
