Directions:

From the SOUTH

  1. Take highway 128 to exit 38N
  2. This will put you on Route 28 North toward Reading.
  3. Follow Route 28 (also known as Main Street) for a few minutes and you'll go through a commercial area. You'll soon see a Fire Station on the right side and a cemetary on the left side.
  4. At your next light after the Fire Station take a left onto Birch Meadow Drive.
  5. Reading high school will be on your left along with some playing fields. Across from the playing fields is Arthur B. Lord Drive. Take a right onto this road and the YMCA is the immediate building on the right side.

From the NORTH

  1. Start out going South onto MA-128 S.
  2. Take the RT-129 exit, exit number 40, towards N. READING/WAKEFIELD CTR..
  3. Enter next roundabout and take 1st exit onto MA-129 W.
  4. MA-129 W becomes MA-129/SALEM ST. 0.9 miles ( 1.4 km)
  5. Turn RIGHT onto MAIN ST/MA-28. 0.7 miles ( 1.2 km)
  6. Turn LEFT onto BIRCH MEADOW DR. 0.4 miles ( 0.6 km)
  7. Turn RIGHT onto ARTHUR B LORD DR. 0.1 miles ( 0.2 km)

Kayak Polo at Hanscom Air Force Base

During the season (late October - April) we play polo every Sunday at Hanscom AFB. Sessions run from 6-9pm and cost $10 per person. Also, there will be an extra $5 charge (good for 4 sessions) for inusarance purposes. The insurance charge is waived for ACA members (click here for the ACA membership web page or check out our Links section for their home page.)

Directions

  1. From Route 128 take the Route 2A exit toward Bedford.
  2. Follow Route 2A for less than 1 mile and you should see the entrance to the Hanscom AFB on your right.
  3. After you turn in, follow the signs to the Military base.
  4. Stop at the guard house (you will need to show a drivers license to the Guard).
  5. After the guardhouse, follow the road straight until it forks.
  6. Turn right at the fork and go down 1/4 mile.
  7. The pool is in the first building on the left past the football fields.

 

Kayak Polo at Spy Pond

  1. Take I-95 (Rt 128) to Route 2 eastbound
  2. From Rt 2 take exit #59 (Rt 60 Arlington Ctr/Belmont Ctr)
  3. Turn onto Rte 60 toward Arlington Cntr.
  4. Follow RT 60 through 1 traffic Light, and about .25 miles take a right turn onto Wellington Street (Boys and Girls club of Arlington is located on this street)
  5. Follow Wellington Street past the Boy & grils club and Past the Elks Club to a little park with parking. Park there and the put in is right next to the Rock wall. You will see the goals easily from there.
