Well if you weren't there you missed THE social event of the year. Yes that's right, the annual SoloTogether Pot-Luck-Supper. The meal included some terrific salads, casseroles, egg rolls, kibasa, chicken and much more. I expect Judy will be writing an new program soon, Dinner with the Actors. Since this was really a social event, the meeting itself was kept to a minimum.
Who was there:
Many discussions happened before and during dinner, so I have no way to bring to you what was said (that's why you should have been there). People seem to be fairly busy, though things have been slowing down for some, probably due to the effects of the recent recession. We discussed sending people to the New England Library Association conference next fall to man a table promoting the group for library presentations. Libraries have been a fairly good source of jobs in the past and this is an inexpensive way to get to the people who bring programs in (to be discussed more at the next meeting).
Well that is about everything. If you were at the meeting and think of something I missed drop me a note and I'll pass it along. If you weren't at the meeting, start planning to attend the next, which will be early in the fall.
