and D@ is a D played with the first string on 3rd fret, then second.
Listen to the song and play with it....it'll seem clearer.
In the chorus, the C is played very quickly, on two up-strokes.
It's more of a prelude to the D part....
Very important to listen to the song to get the rhythm down. Lots (and
lots) of strumming is going on.
