Trash Can Sinatras - Cover Scans
I am putting scans of some of the harder to find TCS items on this page.
Note: I have resized these images for the web page, but if you try to save the files (.jpg format), they should save in their original larger scan size with more detail.
"How Can I Apply..." - released August 19, 1996; b/w "Save Me", "Worm With a Head" and "Little Things That Keep Us Together". The CD shown has a couple of promo stickers, however the CD and packaging are exactly the same as the regular release. Is this a promo CD?
Here is a promo 7" of "To Sir, With Love". This comes in a plain white sleeve and the b-side of the vinyl has no hand writing. Scratched into the inner rings on each side are the catalog number "GOD 157", "850 774 7" (this is crossed out and is actually the catalog number for the official release) and "96 10", which I assume refers to October 1996 (see handwriting on label).
Here is the 1 track promo CD for "I've Seen Everything". This comes in the exact same digipak as the regular 4 track "I've Seen Everything" CD. So the lesson is, just because you see a digipak that says it's a 4 track ISE CD single, make sure you look inside to see if it's actually the 1 track promo. Also, the disk isn't green, I guess that's just how the scanner reflected off the CD. My digipak also has a sticker that reads "The Trashies convey beautiful Scottish landscapes with their bruised sensitivity and guitar romanticism. Combining sweet tunes and acoustic settings with good ruminations and misty reminiscence. On tour May & June." How much did they have to pay someone to come up with that???
Here is the J-card from the "I've Seen Everything" promo cassette. The cassette itself is basically the same as the normal release except it says "Promotional copy - not for sale" on each side and doesn't include the song times.
Have you ever wondered what the "Five Hungry Joes" CD looks like? Well here you go, it's exciting, isn't it? This CD has abolutely no writing on either side of the CD, you can't even tell which side is up. On the inner ring, there is printing that says "Made in U.K. by PDO" and "TCMCD1 10389631 01 %" The CD came in a plain white cloth sleeve.

Here are the front, back and CD for the 5 track "Spooktime soundtrack", which is also considered to be the "A Happy Pocket" promo CD.

Here are the front, back and CD for the "Four Sound Tracks" CD, which is also considered to be the "To Sir, With Love" promo CD. You can't see it, but under the sticker on the front is the Trash Can Sinatras blurry logo in white. There's no way that sticker is coming off without destroying the sleeve.

Here are the front and back of the "Spooktime" video. The videocassette also includes the "To Sir, With Love" video, and came with a 6 question contest to "Win a luxury two night stay in Scotland". Questions included easy ones like 'Which Trash Cans songs are featured in "Spooktime"?' to difficult ones like 'What was the number plate of the taxi?'.

Here are the front, back and CD for "The Genius I Was" promo CD. I think there are only a couple hundred of these CDs, which were given out at some shows in December 1995.

Here are the front and back of the "Cake+6" CD. This is the original "Cake" CD, reissued with 6 bonus tracks (the "Cake" CD single B-sides) in Japan in January 1999. The first reissue of this CD in December 1998 actually had a pressing error on the CD ("Best Man's Fall" was included twice instead of "Drunken Chorus") but the packaging is identical.
Here is a very rare white label promo 7" for "Obscurity Knocks". I believe the tracks on this promo are the same as the official 7" but I'm not sure. I need to check into that.

This might be as close as you'll come to seeing the "Senses Working Overtime" promo 12". This is a scan of each side of the label, note that the A side is numbered (there are supposed to be 1,000 of these but they're extremely difficult to find).
This is the B side of the "To Sir, With Love" promo 12". The A side is one track for "TSWL" and has a white label with 'Trash Can Sinatras", To Sir, With Love' handwritten in pen. The B side has no tracks and is this picture of a kangaroo etched into the vinyl.
