Joey DiMaria

Hi, my name is Joey DiMaria. Welcome to my web page, which I call "The Life of Little Guy".

On this page, you'll find out all sort of neat things about me. You can see how much I've grown, you can find out things that I like and don't like, see when certain things have happened to me, and you can read about my dream house. Then I'll wrap this up with some things that I really like. Here is information to get you started:

Right now I'm a little over 17 months old and I have blonde hair and the biggest blue eyes you've ever seen. I was born at Newton-Wellesley Hospital on Friday August 30, 1996 at 1:39 am. I was small when I was born, but thanks to my mommy and daddy, who make sure I eat lots of good food, I've gotten a lot bigger since then. Take a look at how I've grown since I was born, including percentiles:

Joey's Growth Chart

Here are a couple of pictures from Halloween. I was dressed up as the "Silly Scarecrow". Being dressed up was okay for the first few minutes, but after that the hat was really bothering me and I kept trying to rip it off my head. The costume was a little too small, too.

Going trick or treating was fun, but I had to do all the hard work with no benefit. Daddy just came along for the ride and then said I couldn't eat the candy and that he would just "bring it to work". Yeah, right. Does he think I was born yesterday?

I should keep talking to fill up this space between the pictures, but I don't know what else to say. I guess I'll stop for now.

Joey Trivia

Here are some little known facts about me:

Things I Like To Do Things I Don't Like Words That I (Sort of) Say Favorite Foods Favorite Books
brushing my teeth the car wash "hot" macaroni "One Yellow Lion"
climbing on things applesauce "I don't know" grapes and bananas "Bugs in Boxes"
going grocery shopping being told "no" "mama/mommy" cookies and crackers "Big Dog, Little Dog"
playing Hide and Seek trying to walk on ice "bath" grilled cheese "Too Much Birthday"
counting bed time "duck" beans, peas and carrots "Barney Goes Shopping"

I told you I like macaroni! On the left is me with sauce all over my hands and face. I like feeding myself, but I'm a little messy when I do it. But when you like mommy's macaroni as much as I do, it's hard not to go fast and get it everywhere.

On the right is another picture of me in my high chair. The great thing about being in a high chair is when I throw things they go really far and make a lot of noise when they hit the floor. I think it's funny but for some reason mommy and daddy don't laugh.

Joey - My Dream House

Okay, this is my dream house. If you know where I can find it, please let me know.

My dream house has lots of doors. All sorts of doors. There are regular doors that I can pull shut by the doorknob (but I still haven't figured out how to open doors yet). There are doors that automatically open and shut when you go near them, and there are big swinging doors like you see in the supermarket.

My dream house has elevators and escalators. I'm not really sure if I want to ride in the elevator or not, and it has to be the kind of elevator where I can see it moving from the outside. The escalators have to go up and down and they're in every room.

My dream house has lots of stairs. In this house, the stairs only go up, since I don't really know how to crawl down the stairs yet. That's what the escalator is for.

My dream house has lots of pillows. There are regular pillows, big and small, and pillows in the shape of cartoon characters, like my Elmo pillow. I have to be able to jump on the pillows anytime I want.

My dream house has lots of balls. I want to be able to throw them, kick them and bounce them.

My dream house's yard has telephone poles, fire hydrants, trees, leaves, squirrels, and birds. A little snow is okay, but no ice. I don't like ice.

When I'm at my dream house, I want to wear 10 pairs of socks. That way I can keep pulling them off and I'll always have another pair on my feet so they don't get cold.

That's just the beginning. Oh, of course my mommy and daddy have to be there too. I will tell you more about my dream house another time.

Joey's Really Favorite Things

The Trash Can Sinatras. This is me and daddy's favorite music group. I've been listening to them ever since before I was born. My favorite songs are probably "Twisted and Bent" and "How Can I Apply...?". Here's another picture of me in my Trash Can Sinatras T-shirt, which I actually got from TCS! Click here to see another picture of me in a different TCS t-shirt. I know you're probably saying to yourself "who are the Trash Can Sinatras?". Well, they're great, so go out and buy one of their CDs and check out our Trash Can Sinatras page

Notre Dame/Sorin Hall. Daddy graduated from the University of Notre Dame and lived in Sorin Hall. I'm really aggravated with all the games I've watched with daddy again this year. Notre Dame had a great recruiting class this year (ranked #1 - #5 depending on who you listen to), so let's hope they get it done on the field next year. On the left is another picture of me in my Notre Dame coat. Daddy stopped by Notre Dame one day last fall and spent a fortune at the bookstore. Pretty soon I'll be big enough to wear my Notre Dame windbreaker. Anyway, daddy and his friend Brian O'Keefe started a Sorin alumni newsletter called the Screamin' Otter Periodical. The page hasn't been updated in ages, but check the Sorin Screamin' Otter page to see more information. Maybe they'll update it sometime soon.

Baseball. My favorite baseball team is the Kansas City Royals and my idol is George Brett, even though he's retired. He's going to be elected to the Hall of Fame next year and we're going to the induction ceremony in 1999!

Daddy plays softball in the summer (I've heard it's about the only time he exercises) and my favorite team is the Via Lago Sox. I only went to a couple of games this year, but it's a good thing I missed the last game because Via lost in the championship. Wait until next year when I'm on the team...daddy is so out of shape I'll probably be better than him.

Me and daddy also have a fantasy baseball team. Our "Silent Partner" is dad's friend John Morton. The team is called Bo's Memorial and has been in the Rotisserie League of Creamers for 7 years. They've finished in the top 3 in 6 of the 7 years so far and I'm helping to pick players now. We finished in first place for the second year in a row. Our team is so good it's really not fair to the rest of the league! It's almost time to start scouting players for this year. Let me know if you have any good tips.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for visiting and come visit again sometime. Hopefully it won't take so long to update the page next time.
