FEATURED ARTWORK OF THE MONTH
THE BOOMERANG OLTGASMS
At the end of May
2000 I mailed out twenty-five similarly treated Boomerang Oltgasms.
An example is pictured above. On the reverse side each Boomerang
Oltgasm was addressed to its first recipient and the following instructions
were screenprinted:

You are now an
accomplice/collaborator in an historic event.
This here thang
is one of the first of (hopefully) many BOOMERANG OLTGASMS. Hereís
how you work it:
1. Attach,
draw, print, paint, remove, spray, gouge, smear, do whatever you wish.
Only TWO stipulations please: do so QUICKLY (so this project doesnít take
forever) and make it so the important instructional info on this side remains
legible.
2. Fill in your
name, address and email (if you care to have a jpeg of the final product
sent to you) on the next available numbered slot at left.
3. Paste over
the "TO:" area with the name and address of someone you think will want
to add to this.
4. Affix fresh
postage and SEND IT OUT!
5. POTENTIAL RESUME
LINE ALERT: Iíll credit and notify everyone anytime this piece is
exhibited.
Thus far, ten of
these collaborations have found their way back to me and were exhibited
for the first time in my recent solo exhibition at the Winfisky Gallery.
