Sharon and Mickie are among the many "unadoptable" cats in the care of the Friends of the Plymouth Pound who could use a sponsor. We can also use sponsors for our dogs, who are usually fostered in private homes until new owners can be found for them.

If you love cats or dogs but for whatever reason can't have one, consider sponsoring an animal in the care of the Friends of the Plymouth Pound. Many of the homeless cats and dogs under our care are recovering from illnesses or are not ready to be adopted, for one reason or another. Sponsors provide financial assistance to help us take care of animals that are in long term or permanent care with the Friends of the Plymouth Pound. There are two classes of sponsorship, regular cat/dog sponsorship and cat spay/neuter sponsorship.

Regular Cat/Dog Sponsorship:

For $75.00, you can sponsor a cat in the care of the Friends of the Plymouth Pound. $100.00 will sponsor a dog. Your donation will help defray the costs of shots, medical care, food, and other supplies needed to care for animals.

Spay/Neuter Sponsorship:

Spay/Neuter sponsors help us with our on-going spay and neuter programs that are intended to help curb the stray cat population. We trap feral cats who can't be tamed, spay or neuter them so they can't reproduce, and then release them back where we found them. For $45.00 you can sponsor a spaying operation (female cat) or for $25.00 you can sponsor a neutering operation (male cat).

Sponsors receive a certificate suitable for framing, a Friends of the Plymouth Pound T-Shirt, a photo of the cat or dog they are sponsoring (if applicable), and a million thanks.
