The Friends of the Plymouth Pound sponsor or attend many special events during the year. These events include cat shows, golf tournaments, talent shows, yard sales, spooky walks, etc. Keep coming back to this page or contact the Friends of the Plymouth Pound for details. The Friends of the Plymouth Pound are active in the ongoing "Luv A Pet" adoption program sponsored by the Petsmart store in Hyannnis, MA. Petsmart has set aside an area in this store for the exclusive use of the Friends of the Plymouth Pound where we house and display many of our homeless cats. If you are looking for a cat, come to Petsmart in Hyannis and see our cats. The Hyannis Petsmart store is located on Route 132 (Iyannough Road) near Lenscrafters. Adoption applications, which are available at the store, should be completed if you are interested in any of our cats. Volunteers are always needed to help us take care of the cats at the Petsmart in Hyannis. NEXT! Chris Nardone is holding a golfing event (the 8th Annual Nardie's Mid-Summer Classic) at the Southers Marsh Golf Club on July 19, 2008 beginning at 8 AM. The $100 per person entry fee includes greens fees and golf cart, sirloin steak and chicken buffet lunch, special event t-shirt, closest to the pin prizes and team prizes for the best and worst team. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Friends of the Plymouth Pound. There will also be raffles to benefit the group. If you have a business and would like to sponsor a hole or donate a raffle prize please contact Gayle Fitzpatrick at Friends of the Plymouth Pound. The Friends of the Plymouth Pound holds a fund-raising carnival at the Armstrong Skating Arena on Long Pond Road in Plymouth on Memorial Day weekend. This year's event has passed. Every year the Friends of the Plymouth Pound hold a fund-raising Pet Walk-A-Thon and cook-out at scenic Morton Pond Park in Plymouth, MA. This year's event has passed. Contact the Friends of the Plymouth Pound for details about next year's event.
