PUBLIC APPEARANCES

Marc as Attendant

Work schedule permitting, I will be present (but most likely not in New Haven Railroad dining car department attire as seen above!) at model railroad shows held in the Boston area to sign copies of New Haven Railroad - Dining on the Shore Line Route, The New Haven Railroad in the McGinnis Era, Bob Tweedy: Engineer, and talk to readers and other interested parties. See the events calendar on the NHRHTA web site. I often help the NHRHTA out at their sales table. Generally speaking, you can count on me to be at the NHRHTA's sales table at least until noon at any major model railroad show held in the Boston area.

I periodically get invitations to serve as guest speaker for railroad-related organizations around southern New England. For example, I gave a lecture on the history of the Old Colony/New Haven Railroad Nantasket Beach Branch for the Allerton Lifesaving Museum in Hull, MA back on June 3rd. Check back here periodically for additional engagements.

Marc in Navy

I am a member of the Massachusetts Aviation Historical Society, the VP Association, and the Association of Naval Aviation Patriot Squadron. Although I do not normally bring books to these events, I do attend these group's regularly scheduled meetings whenever I can. Check their web sites for dates, times, and locations. Anybody who buys copies of my Naval Aviation history books such as The Minutemen of VP-92 or NAS Squantum: The First Naval Reserve Base on-line can bring these books to the monthly MAHS, VP Association, or ANA Patriot Squadron meetings and if I'm there I'd be happy to autograph them.

Note, that's me sitting behind the non-acoustic sensor station on board a VP-92 Lockheed P-3C Orion during my final AT flying counter-narcotics missions out of NAS Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico during July/August 1999 just before I went IRR and retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve after twenty years of active and reserve service as a naval aircrewman.
