Ashes Story
“I sprinkled Ned’s
ashes up at Zeacliff a few Sundays ago. I had said a short
blessing and was all teary and sniffly when I started to let
go of the ashes. Just as I did, a huge wind came up and blew
the ashes up into my face, not out and down as I had intended
them to go. It struck me as comical, and I started to giggle.
I hiked down back to the hut with a big smile on my face.
It is hard to let go of the physical Ned, but moments like
these help to remind me that he is around….Spring is
coming. Enjoy the new smells and touch earth and that color
of green that shows up around this time. Yours truly, Julie
