About the Quincy Symphony Guild
In 1980, the Quincy Symphony Guild was formed to assist with hospitality
and fund-raising activities. The membership of the Guild is open to both
men and women who are interested in the welfare of the orchestra.
At the conclusion of the symphonic concerts, which are held at the Performing
Arts Center of North Quincy High School, The Guild is in charge of serving
refreshments at the receptions in the school cafeteria. The conductor, soloists,
members of the orchestra and the audience are given the opportunity to mingle
and become better acquainted, and the evening is brought to a gracious close.
Guild members also serve as ushers at all concerts.
Another very important aspect of the Guild's work lies the area of fund-raising.
The raffle which is held at the Pops Concert provides a large portion of
support.
If you would like to know more about the Quincy Symphony Guild, please call
Florence Cetlin at (617) 329-0780 or Barbara Barnes at (617) 472-0608. Thank
you!
