BackDrop version 1.6 (size: 126k)
BackDrop randomly cycles the Workbench Window image. It selects the random
images from a directory pre-configured and specified by the user. The user
also defines the interval at which the images are to be cycled. Requires
AmigaDOS 3.9 only, no additional software is needed. Image file formats
supported are those for which datatypes are available on user's system.
BackDrop also includes a facility to change the Workbench screenmode
(dimensions and number of colors) and does not impact system boot-up.
Tooltype support. Installation is simple. Full Amigaguide documentation
is enclosed. Registered users enjoy indefinite operation. Version 1.6 provides
compatibility for AmigaDOS 3.9.
Choice iff, gif and jpeg image files for use with BackDrop. These files
were specifically chosen to best demonstrate how BackDrop can make an interesting
and beautiful Workbench screen. After installing BackDrop, decompress this
archive to a single directory, then target this directory as BackDrop's image
directory (by selecting the "Set Image Directory" button gadget
in BackDrop). Then select the "Go" button and enjoy!

Starship version 2.2
This is an improved version of the 3D shareware star flight simulator
which was acclaimed in the July 1993 issue of Viewport Magazine, and is bound
to be the flagship release of Deneban Software. Based on real astronomical
data, Starship enables the user to travel among the familiar stars of the
galaxy. You are no longer "bound to the Solar System" as with typical
"planetarium"-style astronomy programs. Here is an advanced list
of Starship 2.2 features:
- Plays "Mods"
- Saves and Prints Viewscreens
- Provides On-line Amigaguide Documentation Access
- Calculates Remaining Flight times to the Destination Star for All Travel Speeds
- Provides Estimated Arrival Time
- Displays Star Trails on Viewscreen
- Automatically Recalls Last Position when Reloaded
- Improved Screen and Menu interface
- Viewscreen Text Dimmer
- Includes New Stars (added by Constellation)
- Improved Viewscreen Plotting Speed
Here is an excerpt of a review of Starship 2.0 from the July 1993 issue
of Viewport Magazine (posted on GENIE):
(GENIE Starship Amiga file number) 19762 STARSHIP20.LHA: "Don't think much of Captains
Kirk and Picard? Think that you can handle a starship better than those bus
drivers? Here's your chance. Starship 2.0 is an nearly commercial level simulator (And
the author ... only wants $5! What a deal!). ...The program features background sound
effects (you can choose music instead,...), multiple windows, data readouts, etc....
This thing is slick, slick, slick!" -- Nick's Pics (AKA Nick Cook)
