WEDNESDAY MORNING STUDY GROUP

Dear Wednesday Study Partners; Do you know the Lord’s Prayer? Sure you do! Every word has been in your memory for a long time! Do you remember what each petition involves – what it actually means - however? After all, for most of us it has been a while since confirmation classes. On Wednesday, January 13 our Study Group will begin an 11 session study of the Lord’s Prayer called “Entering into God’s Country” The instructor – by video – will once again be Walter Wangerin, Jr. He will lead us through the mysterious simplicity of this best known and loved prayer in history. If you have been with us for the Acts of Prayer study, you know what a treat it is to hear Pastor Wangerin. If you have not had the opportunity – you will be delighted with his teaching style and his story telling. Join us at 10:00. Pastor Saling

Do you know that the New England Synod of the ELCA has a most informative website dealing with the news of the ELCA congregations and other topical information about our Lutheran Churches here in the New England region? Click here for New England Synod web site.

Another important web site here in New England is that of Lutheran Social Services (LSS). For the latest information on what they are doing and how we can assist them in their most important ministry click here. http://www.lssne.org

Have you visited the ELCA Web site? It's full of interesting and thought-provoking resources. For example, you can download a chart that organizes the entire Bible into daily readings you can complete in a year. Just click on http://www.elca.org/bible/oneyear/index.html or cut and paste the link into your browser to see the chart.
