From the earliest days of this website your webmaster has been working to make it a dynamic presence here at Emmanuel. Many, if not most, church websites are static advertisments for the church. I have been trying to build something of greater interest and value to our congregation as well as bringing our presence and message to the outside world. For just a few months I have had a counter running to track the number of times the site has been viewed. In that short time it has been opened 667 times. There must be a real readership. I thank you readers for your support. Now for the new feature. On a trial basis. I am adding a READER'S PAGE. This page will publish items of interest, photographs, church humor, prayers you may wish to have printed etc. It is up to you to supply the content for the page. Keep it appropriate for a Christian publication and not too long. There may be some minor editing if needed. Send all material for publication to "bgruhn@ gis.net" or drop it off in the church office. Thank you, HAPPY AND BLESSED NEW YEAR TO ALL. Bill Gruhn (webmaster))
Wednesday morning Bible study group is back in session. Please discontinue watching this spot for news of its resumption, and join our small but dedicated and interesting group, 10 a.m. in the sacristy. |

Do you know that the New England Synod of the ELCA has a most informative website dealing with the news
of the ELCA congregations and other topical information about our Lutheran Churches here in the New England
region? Click here for New England Synod web site.
Another important web site here in New England is that of Lutheran Social Services (LSS). For the latest information on what they are doing and how we can assist them in their most important ministry click here. http://www.lssne.org Have you visited the ELCA Web site? It's full of interesting and thought-provoking resources. For example, you can download a chart that organizes the entire Bible into daily readings you can complete in a year. Just click on http://www.elca.org/bible/oneyear/index.html or cut and paste the link into your browser to see the chart. |
