How The Trades Work
by Christian Scott

What's a fair trade?

In our eyes, it's one that leaves both parties with that warm "christmas morning" feeling... a deal that's fair and square. Of course you shouldn't just take our word for it, that's why we trade by the hobby standard - the Digital Press Guide. Spare us your ebay and Gamestop prices, we're sticking with DP. Why Digital Press, you ask? Well, we like it and they cover every thing from Channel F to Dreamcast, so you have an even standard across the board allowing for lots of cross-console trades that would otherwise be hard to value out. So now you're thinking "that's great for you guys, but i dont have a Digital Press guide!" Well, go here http://www.digitpress.com/dpg_plug.htm and buy one already. They even have sections available for you to print out in the comfort of your own home at http://www.digitpress.com/lists.htm Failing that, we'll luckily have a copy or five on hand.

So what about items not covered by the guide like handhelds, Pac Man junk, or import games? In those cases, it's matter of bartering, like they did in the pre-cash era. Speaking of cash, can you use cash in place of trade items? Well yeah, if you have to. We're not a store of any sort but we're happy to help a new collector out, so make a fair offer if you need some basic stuff or beer.

What if you only have really common junk to trade? That's a good place to start! We can't promise you'll find a taker for your super mario brothers cart, but we do seem to attract people looking for starter sets. Remember anything game related is fair, so bring along your playstation and PC stuff... you never know. We've even had trades involving legos, network cards, and porn 8 tracks. In fact, a porno 8 track will likely net you more than an uncommon Atari game would in this company!
