Boys’ basketball teams gear up for stretch
The boys’ varsity team, with a record of 5-10, is down but not out of the hunt in the Hockomock League. With five games remaining in the season the boys are optimistic of their chances of making the tournament. Co-captain Matt Batchelder is the team leader in scoring while co-captain Matt Verrengia has been an excellent field general in the Knights’ offense. MORE>>>
Boys’ swim team holds high hopes for more wins
The boys’ varsity swim team is having a great season, with Coach Sandy Johnson and captains Jamal Toure and Aaron Hefez at the helm. This year, expectations from the captains are “to improve everybody’s times over the course of the year.” “We thought we were going to have a lot of new swimmers who would improve over time and we do,” said Jamal and Aaron. Knights put up a dog fight against Cantont
The Knights hockey team played with emotion fueled by intense rivalry between them and the Canton Bulldogs. It was a hard-played game by both teams for the first two periods with the score tied at the end of the second. The Knights could not seem to stay out of the penalty box with nine penalties by the end of the game. Canton scored on seven of these nine power plays. MORE>>>
Buying Championships?
The New York Yankees have won a total of 26 World Championships including four out of the last five years. Many Red Sox fans would have you believe that these Championships were “bought” by Yankee owners such as George Steinbrenner, but this is not true. The New York Yankees, like the Boston Red Sox, is a well-respected Major League Baseball team. MORE>>>
