'Oh, What a Night!" Student talent shines in annual show
Before the curtains opened for the Talent Show in the SHS auditorium,
sophomore Helena Fils foreshadowed the evening by saying, Were
gonna take it to the house. Opening with Suture, the band, featuring
Sam Costa, Tim Keller, Dave Rodrigues & Matt Rutkowski, got the

SADD assembles to discuss drug abuse
The SADD organization, in conjunction with the health department,
invited the Stoughton Dare officers and a detoxification counselor
to speak recently with the senior class. Officers Roger Hardy
and Darren Devine spoke about the harms and hazards of drugs.

The Knight takes top honors at annal convention in Boston
Fifteen of SHSs finest student journalists traveled to UMass
Boston for the annual Yankee PEN convention in March. Hopes were
running high for The Knight to receive awards and the group was
not disappointed. The award ceremony was held after a morning
of workshops, guest speakers, and a performance by the punk/ska

All-night graduation party planned for seniors
Through donations and parental and community support, SHS will
be sponsoring its first All-Night Graduation Party for seniors
on June 7 at the middle school. The party will start around 7
PM but doors will be locked from12 AM to 5 AM with no further
admittance allowed. There is going to be a lot of stuff to do.
No ones going to want to leave, said Mrs. Joni Bloom, organizer

For Maria Twerago, the agonizing wait between judges is the absolute
worst part of the science fair. She described the mounting anxiety
as judges sauntered past her board, teasing her with their concentrated
looks. Its awful [the wait]. They should come one after another.

Student artists signature their work
With a growing art department advancing in the skills of many
talented young artists, students will now have the opportunity
to showcase their art through a mural on the cafeteria wall where
the Black Knight is. The idea of the mural was brought to the
attention of Mr. Wall by senior student Amanda Siegel last October.
Mr. Wall felt positive about it because there was an enthusiastic

Warnings of a winter blast could not keep the Stoughton audience
from piling into the auditorium for an evening of jazz when members
of the SHS concert and jazz bands performed in concert with Chris
Vadala, an award-winning and internationally acclaimed woodwind

Concert Band prepares for festivals in Virginia
Since the first week of January, the Stoughton High School Concert
Band has been working diligently on their Music Festivals program,
which will take place on April 27 in Williamsburg, VA. The band
has been meeting daily perfecting their show set including songs

Honor Society in full 'spring'
SHSs chapter of National Honor Society is hard at work this semester
with several beneficial events. After another successful Valentines
Day flower sale, NHS helped run both a Senior Citizen Breakfast
in the school cafeteria and a free afternoon of Bingo for prizes
at Ahavath Torah Congregation. They also raised some money with
