Teachers’ most embarrassing moments
By Jenny Baryski, Angela Cedrone, and Lauren McCormick

Mrs. Poillucci: “I was walking by the nurse’s office one day when I slipped and found myself sitting on the ground with my feet in the air. I fell right on my rear end!”

Mrs. Reichgott: “I was showing a few senior girls a surgery scar on my stomach from when I was operated on in October. Like an idiot, I was standing by an open door when Mr. Gallivan walked by…”

Mr. Macini: “My most embarrassing moment is Mr. Monti! Just kidding…Well one day, I launched a rocket inside my own classroom. There is still a mark in my ceiling to this very day.”

Miss Manchester: “I was working out in the gym, and I fell off of a treadmill!”

Mrs. Shannahan: “I was at my high school pep rally, and when the principal was making a speech, my friends dared my to yell, ‘Three cheers for the team! Hip, Hip…’ and everyone else would yell, ‘Hooray!’ When it was complete silence, I yelled it. I was the only person who followed up with my dare! No one else yelled anything. That was very embarrassing.”

Mrs. Bagtaz: “ I was invited to the State House to take pictures for the press. I was running late so I ran up the stairs of the building, and fell flat on my face. I got up and had bloody lips and nose. To make the situation even worse, after I got up from my fall, the man I was to take pictures of was standing right on front of me.”

Mr. Gallivan: “Once, I taught a whole class with my fly down. They were paying extra close attention that day. I thought it was because of the lesson…”

Ms. Rockwood: “ During a class, I went to write something on the blackboard, and when I turned around, the whole back of my dress was unbuttoned!”

Mr. Jackman: “I was playing college football and I got hurt one game. They had to cut my pants to get to the wound. I was in front of everyone with only a jock strap. It was on TV that night.”

Mr. Tosca: “It was my first year as a teacher, and I had to take over for a woman teacher half way through the year. I had to take care of all of her duties and jobs. One of those jobs was being in charge of the girls’ locker room.”
