Controversy swept the Grammy awards; it started after the announcement of a rare performance by rapper Eminem and openly gay performer Elton John. Bands lash out with lawsuits against radio-free Napster
In the last few months one word has been on the mind of anyone who has even a casual connection with the music industry, Napster. The mp3 file sharing company has been under fire from all directions recently. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and bands such as Metallica have lashed out and filed suit against the company citing copyright infringement. MORE>>>
Overtaking the MCAS
Starting with the class of 2003, tenth graders will have to pass the MCAS. However, they should not have to take a test to see if they are qualified to graduate from high school. Some students work very hard in school and put all their effort into their schoolwork; to put such emphasis on the performance in one test is just down right wrong. MORE>>>
