My body already hurts. Why would I want to have someone pressing on it?
Wouldn't that just cause more pain?
The amount of pressure used is individualized to each person and changes from session to session. Working an energy channel with a light touch can be very effective. On the other hand, focused penetrating pressure can get the Ki moving, while causing only a limited amount of 'good pain'.
What can you do for my stiff, painful joints?
I use a body-aligning assisted movement technique, called Sotai, to relieve pain and stuck energy in the hip joints, back, shoulders and neck. By using your breathing and working with the more flexible joint, less flexible areas release their tension. It's a very effective technique that's easier to do than to describe, with multiple wonderful benefits.
