Fabulous location at Katama Bay, on the bike path, and on the shuttle bus route. Enjoy a quiet stroll down a wooded path to a private beach or head out the driveway to Katama Road for a quick bike ride or drive to South Beach (1 mile) or Edgartown (2 miles). New 2 story cottage provides a sense of privacy and serenity while having easy access to the best of the Vineyard. The first floor has a large bedroom and half bath with washer/dryer. The second floor has an open floor plan with kitchen, dining area and living space, lots of windows, cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, and lovely views across Katama Farm fields to a distant peak of the ocean. The living room has a double futon, a sofa and love seat, the dining area has table and chairs for 4, and the kitchen is compact but very functional. A shower bath completes the second floor. The grounds close to the cottage have been landscaped with a variety of shrubs, while the rest of the property is wooded. A canoe is available for exploring Katama Bay (release of liability must be signed prior to use). Exploring the edge of Chappaquidick or paddling to the barrier beach separating Katama Bay from the ocean would be wonderful vacation excursions! No smoking is permitted inside the cottage.
