Preserving images of traditional American culture |
|
Abraham Lincoln once said, "I never, in my life, felt more certain that I was doing right, than I do in signing this paper." That was the proclamation that would end slavery and give rights to all people, as it was meant to be in the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This is an historical American scene and is to be sold with the other 3 American Battles in the Online Gallery. |

We see the importance in our artist’s vision of preserving the rights of all people. Against prejudice; he paints the Civil War in its fight of brother against brother; friend against friend.
A nation divided was to transpire into a nation united. This war was to uphold that, “All men are created equal, and endowed by their creator with certain inaliable rights.”
Freedom wasn’t just for the wealthy and the established. It was an endowment to the people and a promise under God. |
