1. What do I get for $449 per month?

Galaxy Internet Services Special T1 offers full T1 bandwidth (1.544Mbps) to the Internet, and local loop to the customer's premises. This combines what is traditionally known as "port" and "loop" charges into a breakthrough price as low as $449 per month. This is the same type of service that other providers offer for $1000 to $2000 per month or more.

Galaxy T1 special includes the following:

3. Is Galaxy financially stable?

In a time where most Internet and Telecommunications companies are in dire situations, Galaxy is a notable exception. Galaxy has executed a very straightforward business plan, and has avoided the "excesses" that have consumed many of our competitors. Galaxy is self-funded and has not sought any outside or venture funding. Galaxy is debt free, and has no leases on equipment. Most importantly Galaxy is in its 8th year, profitable and is not at any financial risk going forward indefinitely.

4. How long will you lock in this special rate?

The term on our Special T1 Offer is 24 months. Your rate is locked in for the full 2 years.

5. What if I want to cancel the service before the end of my term?

Unlike other service providers, Galaxy offers an "out" for customers that wish to discontinue this service. We understand that long term commitments are difficult, and changing conditions can change a company's needs. If a customer wishes to terminate service a $500 cancellation fee will apply in months 1-12, and a $300 cancellation fee will apply in months 13-24.

6. Does Galaxy operate it own facilities?

Galaxy is a full facilities-based service provider. T1's in Massachusetts are delivered back to our Newton, MA facilities, and T1's in NY terminate at our facility in Manhattan.

Our facilities, connectivity, and infrastructure are state-of-the-art:

• Secure, Environmentally Controlled Computer Facility
• Full Backup Power
• 24x7 Network Monitoring
• Multiple T3 and 100MBit Circuits, with Redundant Routing to "Tier 1" Internet Backbones
• All High-End, Commercial Grade Equipment (Cisco Routers, Sun Enterprise Servers, Ascend Communications Servers, etc.)

7. What carrier (telephone company) will deliver my T1 local loop?

While Galaxy operates its own facilities, we use reputable carriers (telephone companies) to deliver circuits to the customer location. For the Special T1 Offer, circuits will typically be delivered by AT&T or Verizon. Both of these companies are large, stable, long-term providers. The circuits delivered are fully engineered T1 circuits (not like the DSL or other technologies some companies use to "cut corners").

8. Where can you deliver these services?

The Special T1 Rate is available nearly everywhere in Massachusetts LATA 128 and New York LATA 132. The MA LATA includes area codes 617, 781, 508, 857, 339, 774, 351 and 978). The NY LATA includes area codes 212, 917, 646, 718, 347, 914, 845, 516, and 631. Our charges do not have any mileage component, so even tough to reach places are eligible. If you don't see your area code listed, please call and check to see if yours has been added.

9. What kind of router do I need for this T1 service?

Almost any standard T1 capable router will operate with our service. If you need to purchase a new router, we recommend the Netopia 4522 or R5300. We also recommend several products in the Cisco line, including the 1700 series or the 2600 series.

10. Can Galaxy help configure my router?

Galaxy can help with standard configuration on most T1 routers. We can provide you with the setup information, or you can even ship us the router and we'll configure it for you.

11. How long will it take my T1 to get installed?

It usually takes about 4 weeks for the carrier to install the T1 circuit to your location. A week or so after you place the order, we'll get back to you with a projected installation date.

12. Will my T1 line be monitored 24x7x365 for problems?

Yes, all of our T1's are monitored 24x7x365. If the line should encounter problems, and on-call engineer is notified of the problem via wireless text messaging. Our engineers will proactively open trouble tickets, and work with carriers to resolve any interruptions in service.

13. Does Galaxy offer WAN and VPN solutions.

Yes, Galaxy offers a full suite of WAN and VPN solutions. Galaxy is unique in that we can combine different carriers and access technologies to create secure private networks. For instance, Galaxy can combine access via T1, Frame Relay, DSL, Dial-Up, ISDN, and Cable Modem into a single, coherent, secure, private network.

14. How can Galaxy offer such a great deal?

Galaxy is the long-time leader in offering cost effective Internet solutions. Our size allows us to purchase in high volume, and pass significant savings to our customers. In the case of this "flat-rate" T1 offering, we have large volume with the local loop carriers, which has allowed us to offer this great deal. We also have enormous bandwidth capacity, so our cost is lower there too. In short, we are offering a unique price on a traditional T1. There are no tricks with new technology or limitations that other providers may have with their offers. This is the real deal as low as $449!
