Internet Setup Assistant

Step 1. Go to the Apple
menu and select under the Internet Access and select Internet Setup
Assistant. You should now see the window to the left. Click Yes |

Step 2. Click Yes on this window. |

Step 3. This is just a basic introduction page, Click the Right arrow. |

Step 4. Name the
configuration "Galaxy", this way, we can easily identify it. Also, select Modem
as the connection method at the bottom Click the Right arrow |

Step 5. This should
already be filled out appropriately. If not, choose the correct modem and port from the menu. Click the Right arrow |

Step 6. Here is where you
enter the local phone number, username and password. The first box is the local access
phone number. The next box needs to be the your <username>, where
<username> is your login id. And finally, enter your password. Click the Right arrow |

Step 7. Since we do not
require a connect script to connect, make sure to select No as the selection. Click the Right arrow |

Step 8. Our system will
assign an IP. So again, select No. Click the Right arrow |

Step 9. Here we enter the
DNS numbers. 208.218.130.4 208.218.130.5 The next box needs to have gis.net. Click the Right arrow |

Step 10. Here is the email
portion of the setup. The first box should contain your email address. The
next box should have the your password. Click the Right arrow |

Step 11. Enter
your pop account settings here. In the first box please enter <username>@pop.gis.net,
where <username> is your login id. In the next box, please enter smtp.gis.net,
as the smtp server. Click the Right arrow |

Step 12. This section is
not applicable. Click the Right arrow |

Step 13. Since we do not
use proxys, please make sure the selection is set to No. Click the Right arrow |

Step 14. The setup is now finished. Click on Go Ahead to finalize the connection settings. |
