Domain Registration

TO REGISTER A NEW DOMAIN NAME:
To register a new domain name to be hosted with Galaxy you must first visit a domain registrar and purchase a domain name. Galaxy Internet Services offers online domain registration, just enter the domain you wish to register in the space below and follow the online instructions.

 

If you are a new customer call our sales department or signup online when you are ready to begin your web hosting account.

If you are a current customer, please contact our support department to add this domain to your account.

To manage a domain name that you registered via Galaxy Internet Services visit the domain page at http://domains.gis.net and click on Manage.

To manage a domain name that you registered via Galaxy's Register.com partner page, please visit www.gisdomains.com

TO MODIFY AN EXISTING DOMAIN FOR HOSTING:
If you already have a domain name registered and wish to host your domain with Galaxy you must modify your domain name record. Your domain name record must have our DNS server information listed. You will need the following info:

Primary Hostname: ns1.gis.net
Primary IP Address: 208.218.130.9

Secondary Hostname: ns2.gis.net
Secondary IP Address: 208.218.130.10

This information must be entered exactly as above or there will be a delay in our ability to host your domain name.

You must contact the domain registrar that you registered the domain through to change the DNS information. Normally you can do this on the domain registrar's website or via email. For more information you must contact your domain registration company.
