The Friends of the Plymouth Pound operate no-kill shelters in the towns of Hyannis, Norwood, and Manomet Massachusetts.
Our primary cat shelters are located at the Petsmart store in Hyannis, MA on Cape Cod and in the Petco store in Norwood, MA. The Hyannis Petsmart store is located at 1070 Iyannough Road (Route 132), right behind the Lenscrafters store. The Norwood Petco is located at 1210 Providence Highway (Route 1). Feel free to come visit our cats at either store during their normal business hours of 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday and 12 pm to 6 pm on Sundays. For more information about adopting any of the cats in Hyannis or Norwood or to volunteer to help us take care of them, call Gayle Fitzpatrick at (508) 224-6651.
Our secondary shelter is located in a private residence in Manomet, a section of the historic town of Plymouth, MA. Visitors are welcome by appointment only. Call Gayle Fitzpatrick at (508) 224-6651 to inquire about available cats and dogs.
You can also visit the Kingston Pound in Kingston, MA to see additional animals available for adoption. Please call the town of Kingston animal control officer at (781) 585-0529 for more information.
The Friends of the Plymouth Pound are featured on the award winning "Paw Prints" TV program which is broadcast on PACTV channel 13 every Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. and every Tuesday at noon. This program is available to cable subscribers living in the Plymouth, Kingston, and Carver areas and we are presently investigating other cable service providers. Tune into "Paw Prints" every week to see some great cats and dogs who are looking for good homes.
Every Wednesday at 7:10 a.m. the Friends of the Plymouth Pound have a "Pet of the Week" segment on radio station WRZE 96.3 (Hyannis). The FPP spotlights a different animal awaiting adoption on Dan Mahoney and Kevin Matthews' morning radio show. Tune in if you can.
