Note: I had a tough time getting this formatted, so you'll probably need to scroll the screen to the right to see the end of some lines. Also, some of the notes don't exactly correspond to the lyrics based on what I was sent, but hopefully everyone can still figure it out.
I'LL GET THEM IN
Use capo on 2nd fret. The following chord charts are written as if the capo were your
guitar's nut.
For example, a chord structure of: Would actually be:
x x
0 2
2 4
2 4
1 3
0 2
I hope this makes sense, because some of these chord are slightly unorthodox. Here are the
chords you'll need to know for the main body of the song:
Am X Am7/E 0 Fsus6/C x Gsus6 3 D x G 3
0 x 3 2 x 2
2 2 3 0 0 0
2 0 2 0 2 0
1 1 3 3 3 3
0 0 0 0 2 3
A x Bm x Em 0 F#m 2 A7 x
0 2 2 4 0
2 4 2 4 2
2 4 0 2 0
2 3 0 2 2
0 2 0 2 0
In addition, there are some "chord fragments" that make up the introduction of the song.
I'm guessing the band have an acoustic guitar with a cut-away, because some of this is
pretty high up on the neck and hard to reach on my own non-cutaway acoustic! I'm not
sure how to notate the strumming, but if you play along with the record you should get
the gist of it. Here are the seven basic chord shapes. They are in the order in which they
are played.
I x II x III x IV x
0 0 0 0
14 12 10 9
0 0 0 0
13 12 10 8
0 0 0 0
V 0 VI 0 VII 0
9 7 6
0 0 0
8 7 5
0 0 0
This Intro pattern crops up several times in the song as a sort of transition bit, so it does
help to flesh out the tune. So here's the song, and remember to insert those seven weird
Intro chords whenever it says Intro.
