T-Shirts [updated]

here is a picture of the official trash can sinatras t-shirt design, which was first available at the king tut's show on july 5.

it may be a bit difficult to make out the design as the picture has been shrunk to fit this page, so here is what it says across the top:

tcs - trash can sinatras - stereo music system tcs - 5 - solid state

in the uk, the t-shirt is £12 plus £3 postage. this is the price they sold for at the king tut's gig.

in the rest of europe or the usa/canada, including postage, it is £16, or US$23.

in japan, including postage, it is £17 or US$25.

the t-shirts are 100% cotton and white (the design does not show up well on other color sirts). adult medium and adult small are currently available. other sizes (large, xl, xxl and children's) will be available soon.

to order you can do one of the following:
1) send an e-mail to me at jdimaria@gis.net requesting shirt size and snail mail ordering information
2) pay the appropriate amount for your country of location through paypal to jdimaria@gis.net

you can currently pay in US$ or £, and I am looking into making other currency payments available. please remember to indicate the shirt size you are interested in so the appropriate number of t-shirts in each size are made available.

as with all items currently available on this page, all profits are sent to tcs to help support the band.

"On a B Road" double CD

"On a B Road" is not an official release, but is a limited CD of b-sides and cover songs that became available in January 2001. In the past, there have been single CDs called "On a B Road", "On a B Road...Again" and "Aberrations". This new "On a B road" double CD includes much of what was in the other CDs, replaces certain live tracks with better/different versions and adds some new tracks from the last couple of years. The cover and live songs on the CD come from various sources: radio sessions and audience recordings of varying quality (most are soundboard/audience DAT or equivalent although a couple are audience analog recordings).

There are 46 tracks, running close to 155 minutes. The CDs come in a slimline jewelcase with full color artwork on all 4 panels of the front insert and both sides of the tray card. The CDs are silkscreened and shrinkwrapped, this is not a CD-R.

"Chewing a Brick" double live CD

"Chewing a Brick" is is not an official release, but is an indie release by Bo Bame Records. There are two main shows on the CD, from Queens' College in Cambridge, UK on March 3, 1993 (a show to preview songs from "I've Seen Everything", whch would be released a couple months later), and from Club Quattro in Tokyo on September 22, 1996. There are also three songs from Club Quattro on September 21, 1996. The Queens' College show came from an analog soundboard tape. The quality is excellent except for the first song and about 40 seconds into the second song. The recording levels on the soundboard were set too high, so the songs were maxing out at the low end. This has been fixed pretty well, but you will probably notice that something doesn't sound quite right. After this, the levels were set to something more normal so the recording doesn't have any problems. I don't think this is a big deal but just want to make sure everyone knows about it. TCS' performance is good, I think they hadn't played many of these songs live very many times before this.

The Tokyo shows are from an audience DAT and are excellent quality, among the best DATs I have heard. These were practically the last shows they played in support of "A Happy Pocket" so the performance is solid. I have posted three MP3 files from this concert over the last couple of months and there is still one up right now. This will give you an idea what this concert sounds like.

Both shows were put onto digital tapes, dumped onto CDs and then mastered as best as possible.

In all, there are 36 songs and over 130 minutes. The CDs come in a slimline jewelcase with full color artwork on the insert and tray card, and black and white artwork with liner notes inside the insert. The CD spine finishes off the anchor picture from the 'anchor box' issued with the "I've Seen Everything" era digipak CDs. The CDs are silkscreened and shrinkwrapped, and manufactured by a CD company (not a CD-R).

"Sound of Purple" CD (scans to be added later)

The Ayr College "Sound of Purple" 17 song CD is now available. This promo CD was put out as part of a business project at the school, and is not intended to benefit TCS or any other bands. The CD features a new TCS song, "Duty Free", as well as other local bands from Scotland/UK:

Note: The 'Cat Protection League' is in reference to the large number of homeless cats near the TCS' Shabby Road Studios.

The CD costs $12, including postage in the US. Outside of the US it will cost an extra couple of dollars ($14 in Europe, $15 in Asia and Australia). If you're interested in a copy, you can pay via paypal to me at jdimaria@gis.net. If you're not signed up with paypal, send me an e-mail and I'll give you the snail mail ordering information.
