In the past seeking tenure and promotion together
carried a risk. Our latest Collective Bargaining Agreement
eliminated the "dangerous" element. Seeking tenure and promotion
together is perfectly safe.
See Appendix M -- the last page has a time-line that explains this
procedure.
To qualify for promotion, you must have met the qualifications for the
rank you seek. If you don't have the right number of years in rank
or years of college teaching, you may still seek a waiver promotion.
See the section of this web site that discusses "waiver" promotion.
